I have light
Wednesday, June 12, 2013
I didn't do much work in my studio this weekend....my neighbor power washed his house and decks. He rented some industrial sized sprayer that sounded like a motorcycle gang was revving their engines right outside my windows. Kate and I retreated to the other end of the house and drowned out the noise by watching movies. He's done cleaning now, but my head still hurts.
In the early morning hours, before my neighbor was awake, I unpacked my shipment of LEDs and figured out how many lights I need for each house and where and I will place them. Next I need to carve grooves in the walls for the wiring, craft fixtures to surround the bulbs, determine how I will hang the pendant lights, and make boxes of some sort to store the batteries.
Poor you!
I feel for you and Kate.
Noise can ruin my day and a pressure washer is the worst - my next-door neighbor just moved in after letting his house sit empty for ten years and he has a Harley and construction trucks. It's enough to make you cry...
Your kitchen is looking crazy good, though, and your lighting is perfect, as always.
Can't wait to see this one finished - I keep meaning to ask you if you are ever going to sell any of them.

I'm going to sell both of these when I'm done. I've run out of room to keep them, and I enjoy the building of them far more than the owning of them. I've decided to build kitchens...I'll sell them with the cabinetry and appliances fixed in place so that someone else can have fun decorating.
I'm planning lots of glass fronted cabinets for the Spring Fling kitchen...wish me luck.
The noise did make my cry...I was in bed all day Monday with a migraine. I was still fuzzy yesterday, but am feeling back to normal this morning.

I'm intrigued with your LED light installation. It looks great so far. I have also been experimenting with LEDs -- converting incandescents and creating my own.
