good news and bad news

I'm almost done with the critical list, I just need to finish wiring the retrofitted lamps. But...the strip lights on the ceiling don't work anymore and there's not a damned thing I can do about it. :(
I feel better knowing I'm far enough long that I can enter the contest as is, even though the house isn't technically done yet. I'm not going to work anymore today though, I'm going to watch a movie while soaking in a bubble bath, cry about the broken lights, and drink a bit too much expensive scotch.
Lights be damned! The house looks amazing!! Just say that though the lights work, for the sake of the environment, you're refraining from using electricity.

I echo Kat's sentiments. Call it mood lighting. Whatever. I'm sure busted lights won't detract from the overall awesomeness of this build. Well deserved scotch I'd say.

I agree with everyone! Bleep the lights! You have made so many unbelievably stunning pieces that no one is even going to notice those lights. Everything in it is really extraordinary, Keli! You need to be very, very proud of your talents!!!

It's just gorgeous, Keli. So multi-dimensional and appealing.

What a friggin' pain in the arse >~<
Like everyone has said though, the lights don't detract from the awesomeness of the build =0)

I'm so sorry about your lights. If it makes you feel any better all of mine stopped working last night. And I have no clue why!
But you're right. Your house looks gorgeous without the ceiling lights. I love it. Especially the 'beach' surrounding the house. The woodwork is beautiful and echoes in and out of the house perfectly.

Kat's suggestion that the lights are left off for the sake of the environment is brilliant!
And yes, it's nothing that a long soak in the tub with good booze can't fix...
The house is stunning, lights or no, and you should be extremely proud of yourself!
